Planning: Photo shoot: Photographs that may be useful

- Medium Long Shot - image shows the models full body
- Her legs split the image in half from top to bottom
- Bottom half is filled with daisies- naturalistic and pretty - fills up most of the image
- Top half is the action the model is doing (splits) and the trees in the background
- Top half is slightly blurred to add detail to the daises in the foreground
- Taken from a low angle
- Follows the rule of thirds- model placed directly in the middle spreading out throughout the middle intersection
- No clear following of the rule of odds
- Taken with natural daylight
- Landscape

- Portrait shot
- Taken with natural daylight lighting
- Not as effective as you can see the reflection of me taking the photo
- The lines of the window distracts from the model
- However the rainbow art painting is a clear representation of the current situation
- Model is young and has a happy smile- representing her happiness for the NHS help
- Not a clear focus
- No clear rule of odds
- The rainbow painting takes up nearly 2/3 but still not consistent with the rule of 3rds
- Still nice bold colours on the rainbow

- Different model - slightly older
- Medium shot at a direct angle
- Looking nostalgically out the window- represents longing to go outside, back into the world due to the current affairs and the lockdown situation
- Taken indoors but has natural daylight coming in through the windows
- Shadow on half the models face
- Follows the rule of 3rds, model takes up 2/3rds of the image
- Breaks convention as model is looking away from the camera
- Clear focus on model in the foreground
- Urban village background
- Tone of expression matches models pose

- Medium shot
- Aerial view (overhead shot)
- Model is lying down in some grass filled with pretty daisies
- Outside shot in naturalistic daylight
- Facial expression is happy - still trying to be happy and enjoying life despite the pandemic
- Model is centre frame- takes up 2/3 of the image portrait
- However there is loss of detail in the shadows due to the way I took the picture so the model is mostly covered in shadow- editing could be done to brighten it up
- No clear rule of odds
- To improve would be to not have a clear shadow

- Long shot
- Action shot - model doing gymnastic splits in the air/tricks
- Taken at direct angle
- Portrait
- The line at the grass and the skyline is completely centre
- Taken outdoors again with natural lighting
- Focus is on the model - impressive to see
- Follows rule of thirds- model is centre in the middle
- No clear following of the rule of odds
- The slight peak of the blue sky is a nice contrast from the green trees and grass
- Message of the pandemic won't stop the model doing what they love (gymnastics)

- Medium Close shot
- You see less of her body and more the outside
- Rule of thirds applied where the model takes up 1/3 of the photo on the right hand side
- Direct angle
- Looking nostalgically out the window- represents longing to go outside, back into the world due to the current affairs and the lockdown situation
- Taken indoors but has natural daylight coming in through the windows
- Shadow on half the models face
- Breaks convention as model is looking away from the camera
- Urban village setting seen from the window
- Facial expressions match body language- neutral

- 2 similar images but instead of having shadows dominating the model- sunlight is directly on her
- background is consistent - grass filled with daisies
- Models facial expression is happy- changes the mood of the photo
- They are both medium close ups
- Positioning both different- the left picture model fills up more of the frame compared to the left
- Doesn't follow a clear rule of odds
- Both centre frame
- The shadow made by me is still clear however its difficult to avoid with direct sunlight
- Outdoor setting so therefore natural light
- Taken from above - birds eye view- model is lying down

- One of the best images to come out of the lockdown photo shoot
- The model isn't the main focus of the image - its the daisies
- Long shot
- Background is blurred trees, foreground is close up daisies
- Taking from a low angle on the ground so you could see the petals and the stems
- Effective focus on the petals and stems of the daisies - creates a new interesting outlook - naturalistic and arty
- Taken in an outdoor setting and in the daylight
- Loosely apply rule of odds as you can see 5 clear daisies
- Rule of thirds can be applied- model is directly centre dividing equally the background and the foreground
- Model pose is the splits
- Taken indoors but has natural lighting
- medium close up
- Can see half the models body - taken at an angle
- Meets the pandemic issue as the model is looking outside representing she's quarantining.
- The flowers poking in on the right hand side adds colours to the already neutral tones on the model and the wall colour
- Window showing the outside- adds depth
- No clear rule of odds
- The model takes up 1/3 of the photo
- Possibly too many elements in the image
- Would of been more effective to see the models full face - cut off

- One of the least effective photos
- The idea and the action shot is effective however half the models hand is cut off
- Not completely centre
- The plain boring background ruins the image - if I were to recreate this I would change the models position facing away from the fenced wall and seeing a naturalistic photo
- The models facial expression is happy- matches the tone of image
- Medium long shot - see models full body as she's jumping
- The blue sky if a good cut in colour, very contrasting to the wall
- Low angle
- Outside/Natural daylight
- Model is happy on a trampoline representing quarantine won't stop her from trying to have fun

- Similar shot to some other however this time the model is more clear in focus
- Background and models body take up the top 2/3 of the image
- Low angle shot
- Long shot
- Daisies may be in the foreground by your eye is drawn to the model doing the splits
- Outdoor garden setting taken in natural daylight
- The white and yellow daisies compliment the green scenery from the trees and grass
- Again no clear rule of odds
- Rule of thirds can be applied with the daisy to model background ratio

- Eyes see the model first but the background of the outside through the window is a key part
- Natural scenery- aesthetically pretty to the viewers of the photo
- Taken at a low angle
- Medium close up
- Taken from indoors but the window provides natural lighting
- Model is shadowed emphasising the bright and beautiful outside
- Natural facial expression
- No clear rule of odds
